Call for applications for appointment to the Northern Territory Board of Registered Psychologists to the health, performance and professional standards hearing panels.
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. AHPRA manages the registration and notification handling processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.
State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.
Applications are sought from psychologists who reside and practice in Northern Territory to fill vacancies on the health, performance and professional standards hearing panels.
Recruitment in accordance with s183(2) of the National Law, to the extent practicable, will exclude individuals whose residence or principal place of practice is in a co-regulatory jurisdiction (i.e. NSW).
Under the National Law , a National Board convenes health panels and performance and professional standards panels where required to hold hearings into specific health, performance or conduct matters for individual registered health professionals.
Appointments to the list of approved persons for appointment to panels are up to three years, with eligibility for re-appointment; these appointments are made by the Psychology Board of Australia.
More information about the roles and the application process is detailed in the below application form and guide.
